Have you done this?
I’ll be the first to admit I have. I’ve done it time and time again.
Positive change isn’t easy. Frankly it’s a pain in the butt, but it’s not impossible.
You have to want change more than you want to stay the same. Of course you don’t want to stay the same. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut. We get comfortable and it’s hard to find your way out.
What is something positive that you want to change or add to your life?
Take baby steps. Change one small thing at a time. Don’t just go in head first, without knowing how to swim. Think back to when you were first learning to swim or ride a bike. Did you jump in the deep in head first without floaties on? Lord, I hope not. When you were learning to ride a bike, you got on, pedaled a bit and then put your feet down. You didn’t go all in going down a gigantic hill with no training wheels. Do the same with positive change.. Slow and steady wins the race. Gosh, I know, such a cliche, but it’s not wrong.
What is one small thing you can do today to work towards this change you want to make?
Make that one small adjustment, and do that for a week. Nothing more, nothing less. For example; swap out sugary drinks for water. Thats a great healthy baby step. A great motivational baby step; look in the mirror once a day and say something positive about yourself. It’ll start to become a more natural thing the more you do it. Change only that and stick to it for a week.
Then, next week add one more small thing. Like, getting up 30 minutes earlier each day. Add that, and stick with it.
Next thing you know you’ll be well on your way to your goal!
